Result oriented, decisive leader, with proven success in areas of Identification of new markets, strategic thinking and HR related issues.He was engaged by CARE India, as a Senior Consultant and was deputed to the State Health Society Bihar (SHSB) to assist in framing Human Resource policies and procedures aligned with the legal framework and best practices, including employee training and development. MMTC Limited is a Public Sector Company under the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, and is a leading Foreign Trading Company in India. He was inducted in the Board of Directors of MMTC Limited as Director (Personnel and Administration) in Dec. 2010 and have played a key role in ensuring that HR activities act as a "Business Partner". As Functional Director on the Board of MMTC I was the head of the Human resources and General Administration function of MMTC and ensured that the human capital support is extended for the success of the business operations of MMTC.
This was done by managing "change" appropriately at MMTC and by ensuring that the human capital is adequately equipped to take on the new challenges that had arisen due to increasing competitiveness amidst economic slowdown. Besides, he was advising Chairman, Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL) in matters related to HR. During his tenure at Corporate office, he was overall in charge of Personnel and Administration function of MMTC including Corporate Social Responsibility. Complete Industrial harmony was maintained and there were no man-days lost due to strike, employee agitation etc. After graduating from Patna College, under Patna University, in November 1977, he had joined Air India, where he worked for approximately two years. Subsequently, joined the then Mica Trading Corporation of India Limited (MITCO), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Commerce, as Assistant Manager (Commercial) with effect from January 1981. He has been winners of several awards such as ‘Most influential HR Leaders in India (2016) - CHRO Asia’, ‘100 Most Influential HR Professionals in Asia (2015) - CHRO Asia’, ‘HR Leadership Award (2014) - Global HR Excellence Awards’ etc.
